JCGP
Jai Jinendra,
As most of you are aware, the executive committee of Jain Center of Greater Phoenix (JCGP) had formed the Derasar Committee almost two years ago. The Derasar committee has since been looking for an appropriate site for Derasar. We are very glad to inform you that Derasar committee has found a potential site for the Derasar and presented it to the Executive Committee. The Executive Committee for JCGP has unanimously accepted Derasar Committee’s recommendation for the Derasar site. But in order to move forward, the Executive Committee would like to hold a general body meeting.
We would like your participation at this very important general body meeting next Sunday, December 15th at 12:30pm at Griffith Elementary School (pathshala location). Griffith Elementary School is located at 4502 E. Palm Lane in Phoenix. The agenda for the meeting will be to discuss potential site for the Derasar and the JCGP by-laws. Looking forward for your support and to see you on Sunday. Remember, together we all can make our dream of "Derasar in Phoenix" come true.

Most of us are familiar with Veerayatan. The place has a beautiful Jain temple
and is located at Rajgir, Bihar. The institution is also known for holding
a large number of eye camps, running of dispensaries, and provisioning of health
care in surrounding areas through a mobile van, running of primary schools,
libraries and propagation of Ahimsa. By its
efforts the institute has brought about a total transformation in certain
segments of the tribal areas of Bihar. Veerayatan has been actively working in
helping people of Kutch affected by the earthquake.
Please join us in learning Jain philosophy from Sadhvi Shilpaji, Sadhvi
Shubhamji and knowing more about Veerayatan and its activities.
If you have any question, please contact Gautam Shah (602-993-3625)
or Mahendra Shah (602-493-9745).
