CAN'T GET "IN THE MOOD"?

Do you feel like the sound of one more "Ho! Ho! Ho!" or one more "Jingle Bell Rock" will send you right over the edge?
If you just can't get that certain "feel" for the holiday season, here are two fail-proof helps to do the trick.
"It will make you believe in miracles, even if you don't want to..." one reviewer said about "A Lumberjack Christmas." And one reader said (about "A Christmas Dream") that if you watch "Miracle on 34th Street" every year, you will add this book to your holiday traditions for years to come.
The characters in both of these books had far more problems than most of you, yet they changed from Scrooges to Jolly Old Saint Nick--and you can, too!

OUR FAMILY YUMMY FAVORITES

Plain and simple Punch

1 bottle cranberry juice
1 2-liter bottle ginger ale
1 can pineapple juice
Ice cubes made from strawberry soda

Blend all ingredients together, adding ice cubes at the last minute. We always made this early in the morning on Christmas Day, and it was poured into the "good" cut glass punch bowl. We sipped on it all day, adding more ice cubes throughout the day.

The main Christmas dinner at our house always ended with a "birthday cake" for Jesus. For years, I made the cake, and as our daughter got old enough, she took over. One year she decorated it with Feliz Cumpleanos, as she said "Jesus came for the Mexicans, too."

MY CHRISTMAS GIFT TO YOU

I began writing over 25 years ago, primarily so I would not forget the many things we experienced during our nine years in Venezuela. The story, "The Night the Angels Sang" is the most requested story I have ever written. By clicking on the title below, you can enjoy it, too. And in case you can't guess, I am "Elaine."

Christmas! To many, the first thing that brings to mind is family. While I have a "normal" family, thanks to the invention of the Internet, I have several outside families as well. One of my favorite "abnormal" families is found at NUW. NUW members would probably not object to being called "abnormal," as NUW stands for Not the Usual Way. Very few of us are "normal," as we have all chosen alternate ways of having our books published: print-on-demand, small publishers, self-published, e-books...

NUW is once again conducting their annual Christmas contest. You need to click on the banner above and enter the clue on my angel. Then follow the lead there to each of the other members and register the clues on each of the angels on their Christmas pages. There are lots of great prizes, and even if you don't win, you will meet lots of great new authors and have a great trip! Merry Christmas!
