54. Compare a delineation of manifestations of good will and gratitude with the hieroglyphs of malice and envy. In the first one obstains a beautiful circle, while the second yields ugly scrawls. In investigations of the primary energy it is instructive to convince oneself as to how clearly it has been granted to man to distinguish positive and negative qualities. It is impossible to create by means of evil; it produces temporary convulsions, then falls to madness and consumes itself. Beautiful is the circle of magnanimity; it is as a shield of Light! It can expand and deepen in harmonious motion.
55. The magnet of thought brings in most precious particles of finer energy. A great deal of patience must be found to protect thought from the attack of all unbridled spatial currents. One must recognize the constant presence of finer energy.
56. When it seems that all forces have been exhausted, such an illusion is most dangerous. Patience, patience, patience--let this protect one on all paths. Forces are inexhaustible, but people themselves try to cut short their flow.
57. It is impossible to consider building the state without building the home. Dignity begins to be implanted by recognition of the broad value of knowledge and exact scientific studies. Then people remember consideration for life, this in turn becomes a base for the understanding of Brotherhood.
58. With broadening of consciousness people become sensitive to any and every coarseness. One may be assured that coarseness is inadmissible. Every coarse action creates such a hideous vortex that if people could but see it, they would certainly be more careful in their conduct.
59. With dignity it is possible to enter in.
60. It is not enough on the path to Brotherhood to possess only certain separate qualities, it is needful to realize their complete combination. Equilibrium of qualities is achieved thru great tension of consciousness.
61. Finer energy experiment will demonstrate how the symphonic expands the beneficial circle. But to ignorant observers this will be incomprehensible. For the long journey let us gather qualities as abundantly as possible, each of the best degree!
62. Mankind must select the most firm paths. All mechanical discoveries merely demonstrate the need of the power in man himself. Let us be solicitous toward everyone bringing mankind his best strength. Let us be grateful to the Brothers who untiringly bring realization of finer energy. Fortunately, the selfless Bearers of unseen treasures are invulnerable to robberies and ignorant wiles.
63. The rainbow is the symbol of synthesis. People have distinctly known that the consonances of tensions of best qualities provide the synthesis of ascent. Much that has remained inexplicable and under suspicion has shown the radiance of beautiful motives.
64. Each deliverance from petty habit requires tension of the will. When a seemingly abandoned habit comes back again in stronger degree, it has continued to exist in the depths of one's consciousness. At passage into the subtle realm motive is the conductor. Everywhere motive has the decisive significance. Let man remember that even in earthly existence an impartial witness exists--the primary energy .
65. Sternness is expressed as a circle, but cruelty is the sign of madness. Like foul speech, cruelty must be excluded by law and be dealt with in primary schools. From cruelty there is no path leading to Brotherhood. Cruelty, like foul speech, is merely the expression of a base nature.
66. Co-workers and messengers are sometimes unconscious, sometimes silent. Thought is sent and received thru the heart.
68. Some, without noticing it, consider themselves the elect and make arrogant assertions about others. Much harm emanates from scant knowledge and still more from a petrified consciousness. Each such person becomes a hotbed of confusion and doubt. He loses the rhythm of work by manifesting confusion. Such are very harmful to the spread of understanding. They wish to receive for their personal gratification the very latest tidings, little usefulness resulting. One should not fail to take such weak people into account--they are as nests of treason. Nothing restrains their intrigues. Few know to await the call in complete magnanimity, working amid difficulties.
69. Often people take the small for the great and think that a small coin can hide the sun.
71. People poison themselves by unbelief. From unbelief comes stagnation of consciousness, people poisoning themselves thereby. We repeat of trust--without it no rhythm is created, no success or advance. There is no other way to awaken the finer energy, no other path on which the heart can glow with victory. It is difficult not to weary if there be darkness in the heart.
