Here I am today or maybe a year ago, most people say they've seen worse
Like Billy Crystal used to say on Saturday Night Live, "My darlings, it is
better to look good than to feel good"

My better half, Paulette, more beautiful than this 1972 photo.
On June 10, 1972, I married the love of my life, Paulette. If not for my wife's support, I wouldn't be alive today. Maybe she's a bit heavier now, but that's just more of her to love. She is an amazing partner, putting up with my nonsense, alcohol and drug addiction and many more things too numerous to mention. I always tell her that she deserved a much better man than myself and she always says "Shut up, I don't want to hear that". I'm the luckiest guy in the world

About Me
Born in Brooklyn, New York in 1947, I had a great childhood, terrific parents and lots of friends.
I attended Junior College, receiving my Associates Degree in Accounting and then decided to change my draft deferment from 2S to 1A. I then wrote to my draft board requesting they push up my name, and was inducted into the Army on Sept. 7, 1967.
I was sent to basic training at Ft. Jackson, SC and also had my Radio Operator School training at the same facility. I was then assigned to Ft. Gordon, Ga. for additional training in Radio Teletype school. When asked by the Army where I'd like to be stationed, I answered that I want to volunteer for Vietnam only under the condition that I be assigned to the 7th Cavalry (The Master Sgt. wanted me to go for a psychological exam, since he figured I was nuts) but I did get my wish.
I arrived In-Country on April 2, 1968, assigned to the 1st Air Cav. 2nd Battalion, 7th Brigade as an RTO just in time for the mop up at Khe Sahn. I could go on and on about my tour, however, I'd rather not. I rotated out on April 1, 1969 and got back stateside 3 days later. The war had changed my life forever and there's hardly a day that goes by that I don't think of my buddies who never made it back and also my friends that were badly wounded, some of them are still in VA Hospitals.
I did manage to complete college and received my degree in Business Management. I've also held down two executive positions until being "Downsized" in March 1996. Today, I work at several part time jobs just to get by, but I truly believe that God has me destined for something great.

PERSONAL INTERESTS
I love movies--mainly action films. I love all sports, especially baseball and football--both college and pro. I enjoy reading non-fiction books--with biographies, autobiographies and history as my favorites. For me, the music of the late 50's and early 60's is the greatest.

LATEST NEWS
During the past few months, I've hooked up online with the greatest bunch of men and women in a Vietnam Veterans Chat Room. I've also made progress with my addictions, and have been "clean" since Jan. 6, 1999. I'm getting some interviews with companies for full time employment and my way of looking at life has changed for the better.
