Jenny Jones Sucks

We're gonna pull off the piercings, wash off the makeup. 'Cause I know that there are some really wholesome looking girls under all of that goopy stuff.--Jenny Jones, Jenny, Turn My Gothic Queen Into a Normal Teen! Feb. 18, 1997

Anyone who thinks Jerry Springer is the most irresponsible talk-show host on t.v. is wrong, Jenny Jones is. Jenny Jones is a self-righteous, close-minded, talentless hack. Jenny Jones attracts all manner of trash to be on her show, most of them in the audience.

Jenny's specialty is make-overs. Jenny invites people who she thinks are ugly and freakish and makes them over into what she thinks they should look like. The last time I looked Jenny and I live in the United States of America, we as citizens have the right to look how ever we want to. Not according to Jenny. According to Jenny people have to look like her to fit in to this world. No one is allowed to have a shred of individuality in Jenny's world.

Jenny's favorite make-over topic is Goth make-overs. For those of you who don't know what Goths looks like these are Goths (basically):

Goths have their own style as I'm sure you do. Imagine for a minute that your look is considered "freaky" by Jenny. You are brought on the show by your friend and you are chastised by Jenny and her inbred audience. That would not be fun would it? Would you change your look just to please Jenny? Remember you are on national TV You would feel ashamed, angry and demeaned, wouldn't you?

On the February 18, 1997 show "Turn My Gothic Queen Into a Normal Teen!" an audience member stood up and defended the Goths on stage. Jenny tried to get the woman to say something bad about them. When the woman would not Jenny told her to sit and went trolling for a negative comment.

The January 12, 1997 show "I'm Losing My Child to Marilyn Manson" was an exercise in bad journalism. Jenny brought out kids who are obsessed with Marilyn Manson. Jenny had search long and hard to find such immature and stupid Manson fans. One of the girls tortured a cat and killed it, another cut herself. Jenny blamed this on Manson, obviously. Jenny had a 19 year old boy, who was obviously messed up, who talked to posters. Once again, Manson's fault. The final guests were actually intelligent and had something useful to say. Jenny gave them no time to speak and when they did she interrupted them. Finally, Jenny had a psychologist come out. The Psychologist said that these peoples problems were not related to Manson. Jenny's idiot filled audience booed the doctor.

Jenny even offers her "beauty basics" at her homepage. "Here are some of Earl's secret makeup tips that can help everyone look their best!" the page starts. Who is Jenny to tell people that they have to make up like she does to look good? Hell why does a person have to wear makeup at all? Because Jenny says so I guess. It is conceited to believe that your look is the best or right look. Shameful.

One of Jenny's other favorite topics are "I was ugly then, but look at me now" type of shows. These consist of people who were teased is school (sometimes first grade!) confronting their teasers. I was teased in school like most other people, but I don't sit at home and brood over it. Anyways, the guests confront the people who teases them and show them how they look now. The women wiggle their breast implants around and the men show off their steroid induced pecs. Never have I seen a guest confront a teaser and look the same, but be very rich. Nope they just got implants and think that they are better than their teasers because of their new breasts. Idiotic.

Jenny Jones is such an awful host she can't even fill a whole hour. She has crappy bands come on and sell them selves to bovine America. Jenny brings them on to waste time because she can't cut it as a host. Even Maury Povitch and Jerry Springer can fill an hour, for chris'sakes! Those guys, as dumb as they are, look like talk show gods when put aside Jenny.

Jenny must have an IQ test she administers to her audience members prior to the show. They must only allow those who scored less than 75 be in the audience. Her audience is dumber than Jenny, if you can believe that. They are holier-than-thou, belligerent, and close minded. When the "bad guy" is brought onto the stage they boo and swear. When the person tries to explain their situation, (which is near impossible because Jenny won't let them form a thought) they mock and ridicule the person before the whole story is out. These people think that they are very important and their opinions are the only possible ones. None of these people would dare confront the people on stage if there was no stage. If it were a back alley they would keep their mouths shut. In the protected spaces of the studio, it's all right to curse and demean a total stranger.

There was also the 'little' case of Jonathan Schmitz. Schmitz was invited on the Jenny Jones show to meet a secret crush. Schmitz was led to believe that he was to meet a beautiful woman who had a crush on him. When the crush was revealed it was one of Schmitz's gay friends. Schmitz's friend Scott Amedure told Schmitz about fantasies he had involving sex. Although there is nothing wrong with being gay, or revealing a crush it was irresponsible to do on national television. Schmitz was embarrassed about the crush, mainly because he expected a woman. Three days after the taping Schmitz found a letter on his door step. The letter was sexual in nature and Schmitz believed it was from Scott Amedure. Schmitz went to Amedure's house with a new 12 gauge shotgun and killed Amedure.
Jenny Jones was called to testify in the murder case and she revealed that she had little to do with the show. Jenny denies that her show had anything to do with Scott Amedure's murder. What? Does Jenny believe that Amedure would have been killed anyway? Does she believe that the embarrrasement in front of millions of people had nothing to do with it? This is further proof of Jenny Jones's irresposibility and sheer stupidity.
