Freeborn GARRISON (10/24/1840-11/26/1911), born in Genoa Twp., Delaware, Ohio, the son of Isaac Garrison and Victoria Ann Thurston (married Eaton, Luzerne [now Wyoming], Pennsylvania.)  He died in Burdett, Pawnee, Kansas.

Ann Elizabeth BUCKWALTER (7/7/1847-12/11/1930), born in Coatesville, Chester, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Joseph Buckwalter and Lydia Bossert.  They had moved to Lanark, Carroll, Illinois when Ann was a teenager.  She died in Burdett, Pawnee, Kansas.

They were married December 25, 1865 in Macon, Macon, Illinois, both having lived in Lanark, Carroll, Illinois. 

They departed for Kansas, first arriving in Lyons, Rice, Kansas before homesteading in Lanark, Pawnee, Kansas; his house was built March 17, 1878.  His house was a stone 1 1/2 story 19X17, 2 rooms, 2 doors, 3 windows.  Stable sod and 14X16.  A stone Chicken coop 14X10.  Dugout house 10X14.  Wells dug 16 feet.  Walls up.  Corral wire.  Blacksmith shop.  30 acres broken.  Value $400.
