                Samuel's daughter, Edith Kitch Hoag, had triplets - Maurice, Mildred and Myrle.

                The father, David Kitch, had 10 children, 7 boys and 3 girls.  Samuel had 10 children - 4 boys and 6 girls.  Andrew had 9 girls and no boys.  Ephraim had 10 children - all boys.  Samuel's son, Wm., had 11 children - 9 boys and 2 girls.  Ephraim's son, Wm. had 8 children - 2 boys and 6 girls.

                Uncle Eph was pastor of English Lutheran Church at DeSota, Ill. for 18 years.

 

                Hiram, their oldest, lives at Litchfield, Ill.  1014 North Jackson.  A retired salesman.  Died - Feb. 8, 1941  He was a traveling grocery salesman for 32 years - 1899 to 1931.  Two years for Hulman and Co. of Terre-Haute, Ind. and 30 years for Meyer Schmid Grocery Co. of St. Louis, Mo.  He married in June 1885 to Alice.  They have 5 children:
                Edna, the oldest, was in training in Walter Reed Hospital and Philadelphia Hospital, from 1918 - 1921.  She graduated as an army nurse for the Government.  Then served 2 years as head nurse of Tubercular Dept. at National Soldiers Home in Milwaukee, Wis. and then 2 years as head nurse of Soldiers Home in Dayton, Ohio.  Her health broke and she went to Woodmen Sanitarium in Colorado Springs, Colo. for a year.  Has since been at home.  
                Ernest is married and working in a Steel Mfg. plant in Indianapolis, Ind. since 1915.
                Mabel, teaching art in Springfield, Ill. this being her 11th year.  Not married.  (Married John L. Bush, Decatur, Ill.)
                John Raymond is married, lives in Chicago.  Is an attorney at law since 1916, for Swift and Company of Chicago.  J. R. Kitch 9567 Prospect Ave. - Office 630 So. Wabash Ave.  He was in W. W. 2 for 2 years - in France 14 months.
                Alice married Charles Fleming, who teaches in Litchfield High School.
