From the Ohio Kitch branch, we also had a family that moved into Iowa, some of whom moved back eastward from there to Illinois and possibly Indiana.  The Yonker name was also found as Unker in Tuscarawas.

24B1. Mary Elizabeth YONKER, born 19 Nov. 1832 at New Philadelphia, Ohio, where on 25 Feb. 1852 she married George KITCH. With their small son they went west with Mary's parents and settled near Mt. Pleasant, Henry Co., Iowa.

    24B11. William KITCH born in New Philadelphia, Oh., married Belle Lafferty of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa. He followed farming and was a prominent businessman.
        24B111. Stella KITCH, widowed, lives at Mt. Pleasant.
    24B12. Lottie KITCH, born about 1861 in Iowa, married Sumner KITCH who passed on in 1932. Lottie lives at 417 N. Main St., Mt. Pleasant, Iowa.
    24B13. Joseph KITCH, born in Iowa, married Fannie Lane, both deceased. Their children:

        24B132. Edith KITCH, deceased
        24B133. Laura KITCH, deceased
        24B134. Howard KITCH
        24B135. Ruth KITCH, deceased
    24B14. Flora KITCH, died young
    24B15. Mina KITCH, died while a young woman
    24B16. Eleanor KITCH, died while a young woman.
    24B17. Edward KITCH, married Jennie Payne. Both deceased. To them were born nine children, names not available.
    24B18. Belle KITCH, died in young womanhood.

With the exception of Edward and his wife all the above lived in or near Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, and were buried there.  After some time in Iowa, the Yonker's moved back to Genesco, Illinois, to be with friends from New Philadelphia. Yonker's were originally from Bedford County, Pennsylvania. (per LDS Film 1414800)
