Notes on Being Practical

• With the exception of your audiences, consideration of those outside the collective must, if not entirely ignored, be taken very lightly. There does exists in the world, jealousy and things said in the heat of the moment through the media. If you consider every comment, inuendo and critique seriously, you will be hindered. Have faith in your collective's principles, stick to them and carry on.
• Be learly of the media. This is not to say we don't have some great media institutions, but they have their share of loose cannons.
• If a Theatre Collective is organized properly, has strong members, has a great mandate - it will work.
• Stay romantic.
• Be leary of your own loose cannons.
• Be leary of the mainstream.
