Lau Chingri (Marrow Cooked With Shrimps)

1 Kg Lau (Marrow) -- Peeled And Slited
200 Grams Shrimps -- Deshelled
30 Grams Corriander -- Paste
15 Grams Cumin -- Paste
2 Grams Turmeric -- Paste
2 Grams Chilli -- Paste
6 Nos Gr. Chillies
5 Grams Salt
15 Grams Sugar
50 Ml. Oil
20 G Ghee
2 Nos Bay Leaf
5 G Garam Masala
* Heat oil in a karai, add lau and mix with salt ton simmer.
* Add all the masala paste thoroughly and continue cooking.
* Cook till all the water is removed and the lau is cooked.
* Add the fried shrimps and the green chillies.
* Adjust salt, sugar and mix well till the oil comes on top.
* In a seperate pan heat ghee, add bay leaves and garam masala till spluttering.
* Pour over the lau chingri, stir and remove from the fire.

Serving Ideas : good accompaniment with rice, ghee bhat or luchi.
