History:
The 1st Forest Glen Scout Group was first chartered by Scouts Canada in December of 1971. Since then we have run a strong group with good leadership and strong commitment to Scouting's ideals.
Community involvement
The 1st Forest Glen Scout Group has been very active in the local community. We have participated in the Annual Scoutrees (formerly Trees for Canada) campaign since 1993, have been active in the Mississauga Santa Claus parade, once winning honourable mention for community service group. We are also active in the City of Mississauga's Litternot program and have adopted Willowcreek Park, where we go three times a year to clean the park to make
it more accessible for the youth of the area to enjoy. As well, the individual sections perform local acts of community spirit within their programs (IE. Food drives etc.)
