Afterschool Arts

The Community Music Center of Boston offers several combinations of music, visual art, and dance classes each week for students age 5-11. Families may tailor combinations of lessons and classes to suit their needs.

Visual arts classes explore the creative and artistic process while developing technical skills through drawing, painting, collage, and three-dimensional projects such as masks, mobiles, and puppets.

Creative music and movement classes give children an opportunity to enjoy songs and singing games from a variety of cultures. Rhythm instruments are introduced.

Group instruction in dulcimer, recorder, and tin whistle is also available.
