About the WebDiva
This is a site about the Community Music Center,
but I thought I would take a little time to introduce myself. My name
is Rebecca (Becky). I am 16 and a junior at Wayland High School. Some
of my favorite classes are APUSH, Latin, and Classical Lit. I also
play in the orchestra and small chamber ensembles. I love
riding horses, playing basketball and lacrosse, writing, and of
course ... music.
I play both piano and viola. (For fun I've also
learned a little on guitar, recorder, and dulcimer, but I'm not very
good...) I now take lessons at CMC with Gregg Pauley (piano) and Ann
Miklich (viola). I have also taken many classes at CMC, including
music theory, counterpoint, songwriting, and performance class. I have
played in several different chamber ensembles. During the summer I
work as as counselor for the SummerArts program. I am at CMC most of
the day on Saturdays. I hang out with friends when I am not in class.
CMC is a wonderful place to be! It is a small community, so I know
everyone. The people are friendly, the atmosphere is comfortable ...
CMC has been a large part of my life for the past few years. Thanks to
CMC I have been to many concerts and recitals, made many new friends,
met many talented musicians ... I cannot list all the great
experiences I have had since I came to CMC.
