Enjolras

Enjolras, the leader of the Friends of the A B C, is my favorite character in Les Misérables. No, it's not because he's handsome (although he most definitely is). It's because he has strong ideals, and he stands by them unswervingly. He believes in the revolution, and he loves France. He stands by those two things until his death on the barricades. Even if you don't agree with his ideals, I say you have to respect, if not admire, him for his integrity.

The picture above is of Michael Maguire, and if you click on it, you can hear him sing part of "The Final Battle" from the TAC. It's my favorite line in the whole musical.
