On the sunday at the leeds festival there was some very good performances on stage including Sahara Hotnights, Vex Red,
The Hives. But two bands proved their status as quality rock bands, these two bands were ASH and the amazing Foo Fighters.
Ash were introduced on stage not by compere mary ann hobbs but jimmy nesbit(of cold feet fame) it was a rousing introduction
with jimmy saying ash were the greatest live band in the world( and who am i to argue).
Ash played a great set which went down very well with the crowd and shows why Q magazine listed them as on of the greatest
live bands. Even though it was thought ash wouldnt play reading or leeds due to the bus crash they were involved in the US
the week before the festival. But ash are HARDCORE just like there fans.
