Mission Statement

^{We are a group of artists working within the African
oral storytelling tradition.

We seek to redefine our folklore, folk medicine, folk life,
folk wisdom, and to harness the power of deep symbolism in our traditional
African heritage through storytelling, dance, visual arts, music, film,
spoken word, song, drama…}

^GOALS:

^{1.  To promote and disseminate knowledge of our history and folklore.}

^{2.  To reach out to youth.}

^{3.  To mentor new generations of tellers.}

^{4.  To promote the oral tradition of new audiences.}

^{5.  To sponsor storytelling in our communities.}
