This CD is absolutely unreal. "Crossbearer" has got to be the most unbelievable song I've heard. A lot of switches in the music, from fast and heavy, to slow almost emo sounding, to 80s metal sounding guitar licks. The vocals are also impressive. The whole CD is equally great. Cave In play their metal with a slight hardcore influence, spurred by hate of religion and other concepts that I don't comprehend. They had two vocalists on this CD and it shows on the differing sounds. "Flypaper" is also a track to check out. If you don't have this CD yet, you shouldn't be reading this review.
Tracks: 1. Crossbearer 2. Chameleon 3. Capsize 4. Stoic 5. Programmed Behind 6. Flypaper 7. Mitigate 8. Pivotal 9. Ritual Famine 10. Crambone

This is far more brutal than Beyond Hypothermia, but it's still great. Metal. The difference with this CD as opposed to Beyond Hypothermia is all the noises/sounds thrown in. There is almost no singing on this records, only pure tough-sounding vocals. If you want to read more about Cave In, read the above review, they're almost the same band (only new vocalist).
