Kicked in the Head play an eclectic mix of ska, punk, blues, hardcore, jazz, and funk. It's crazy. The guitars have crazy metal riffs, the horns are nuts, and they definitely have a Slapshot influence. Think Slapshot meets James Brown meets BB King meets The Toasters or something of the sort. This is the second release on Boston's Fork In Hands records and is definitely worth the $7 or so it costs to buy this. Did I mention that members of KITH are also in Big D & the Kids' Table? And did also forget to mention that Gary (vocals) is so full of energy. Oh yeah, and the layout of a 1950s/60s alien attack is pretty spiffy too. And listen to the metal in the guitar in "Bitch".
