August 1997

Tsuyoshi returned to the Senior dorms from the studio. It had been a month since the fire in the Juniors dorm. It had been a very long month of not being allowed alone with Koichi. The driver had to let Tsuyoshi off in the street. The parking lot was full of moving vans and two school buses. Juniors were unloading things from the buses. Tsuyoshi walked to the building, his mind full of questions. He had to wait until a pair of moving men brought a bed into the dorms to enter the dorm.

"What is going on?" he asked a passing Junior.

"What does it look like?" Tsubusa rolled his eyes. "The Manager's making us Juniors move into the Senior dorms."

Tsuyoshi was finally able to get into the dorms.  Matsujun ran past Tsuyoshi carrying a box, he went up the staircase. Tsuyoshi changed his shoes and went to his mailbox. Inside was a pile of fan letters that had been selected by management, he went through them quickly. A few were fan letters from boys. Tsuyoshi always liked those. He stuffed the letters into his bag.

He stood for a few minutes just watching the Juniors running around. It was almost like the Juniors had some sort of deadline to get somewhere. Tsuyoshi decided to go to his room. As he went to the second floor, there suddenly was a great flux of Juniors trying to get upstairs while Seniors were trying to go downstairs. Everyone seemed to be carrying boxes.

Tsuyoshi went up the staircase towards his room. He stopped Okada, who was coming down the stairs. "What's happening?"

"Moving day!" he stopped for a second.  "Everyone who lives on the top floor has to move downstairs."

"Why?"

"The Juniors are moving to the top floor."

"What about the dorms they were staying in?"

"Don't know." Okada shrugged. "I just know you're moving!"

"Do you know where I'm going?" Tsuyoshi asked.

"My room!'

"Move Junichi! You're causing a road block!' Mabo ordered.

"Gomen." Okada continued down the stairs.

Tsuyoshi went to the room he shared with Sakamoto, not quite believing what the younger man said.  His door was standing open. Two new bunk beds had been put in the room. Boxes with Junior's names on them were stacked on the new beds.  He finally looked at his bed. Koichi was standing near the bed.  He was putting Tsuyoshi's clothes in a box.

"I'm home." Tsuyoshi said.

"Welcome back." Koichi repeated.

"What are you doing?" he asked.

"I'm packing your stuff for you." Koichi put a stack of clothes in the box. He put it on the floor, and put another box on the bed.

"The Manager's moving the Juniors to the third floor?" Tsuyoshi guessed.

"Right." Koichi paused. "It's going to be a bit tough. We'll be living four to a room. But at least my new roommates won't be little kids."

"Who’s moving into your room?"

"Nagase," Koichi looked around, thinking. "Oh and you're moving into my room. You wouldn't mind would you?"

"I thought we couldn't sleep in the same room." Tsuyoshi reminded him.

"We can't sleep in the same room alone. But with Nagase and Okada being there, we won't." he looked at Tsuyoshi. "Can you help me pack?"

"Of course." Tsuyoshi moved to help his friend. He picked up a stack of clothes. At the same time, Koichi touched his hand.  He looked into Koichi's eyes for a moment.  Then Koichi kissed him. They stood there for several seconds kissing.  The clothes that Tsuyoshi were holding fell to the bed. He touched the back of Koichi's head, pulling him closer.

Koichi pulled away from him. "Sorry, I got carried away."

"I like getting carried away." Tsuyoshi kissed Koichi again.  There had been very few times in the past month the two friends had even been allowed to kiss.

He could feel Koichi put his arms around him, pulling him close. He opened his mouth a bit, and Koichi's tongue darted in.  Tsuyoshi met his tongue hungrily. As they kissed, Tsuyoshi realized his friend would never hurt him. Kissing his best friend felt good, very good. He didn't want the feeling to stop.

"Oh look, the princess and the sell out!" Ken said he was followed by Morita.  "Kiss, kiss, is that all you ever do?"

They pulled away from each other.  Tsuyoshi looked away embarrassed. Koichi got between Tsuyoshi and Ken. "Leave us alone."

"Or you'll what? You'll attack us again?" Morita countered.  "You're friends aren't here.  If we fight, we'll beat you this time."

"Oh really?" Nagase asked he was followed by Okada. "We're here to help."

"Thanks." Koichi said.

Four to a room, Tsuyoshi thought there where too many people in his room. Bunk beds had been put in the room. Koichi's was on the bottom. He could come in and go to bed late at night without waking anyone up. It was yet another reminder of the abuse that his friend was going through. He seemed to spend all of his free time catching up with school work and studying lines for his drama.    Koichi seemed to live in the room, not coming out without a reason.

Nagase was Mr. Busy. If he wasn't working with his group, he was practicing his guitar. Tsuyoshi thought that it was good that he had headphones for it.   Nagase had told him that once he stopped being an idol, he wanted to play in a heavy metal band.

*Click, Click*

Tsuyoshi sighed and looked up to Okada.  The teenager was looking down to him from his top bunk. He had a camera against his eye.

*Click!*

"Jun?"

"Yeah?" The Coming Century member asked. *Click, Click.*

"Can you stop taking my photo?" he asked.

"Why?"

"Because I'll break your camera into four pieces if you don't." Tsuyoshi threatened.

"You're no fun." Okada put up the camera.

"I don't always like to be under the camera." He confessed. "I want my room to be a safe zone where I know that my picture won't be taken."

"Gomen Na." Okada picked up his script. He was in the same drama as Koichi.

Tsuyoshi decided to go back to one of his favorite hobbies, spying on Koichi.  He picked up his book, and began to read. He read about half a page, and then looked up to Koichi.  The man was reading his script. At the same time, he twisted Tsuyoshi's ring around and around his finger. It had become a nervous habit of his.

He just wished that his roommates could leave so they could kiss again.

Tsuyoshi's body cried out for more then kissing.  He wanted to touch his lover, to feel his lover's caresses.  He could feel tightening in his midsection.  His fingers unconsciously went to his midsection, rubbing himself. He moaned as he felt himself growing harder.  Koichi, it had been too long since he had been alone with his friend. In his mind he could remember the times Koichi had loved him.

Then Tsuyoshi realized what he was doing, he couldn't masturbate with all of his roommates in the room.  He snatched his hand away.  *Why can't I control my feelings for Koichi?*

It was then that Tsuyoshi realized that Koichi was watching him. Tsuyoshi quickly went back to the book.  He couldn't help but notice his friend's smile.  "Hey Tsu-chan, could you help me with my script?"

"I'll help!" Okada volunteered.

"I want to work with Tsu-chan." Koichi insisted.

"We're in the same drama!"  The teen objected.

"Baga!" Nagase took off his headphones, got off the bed, went to Okada. He grabbed the teen's shirt and pulled him close. He whispered something to him.

"Oh I see!" Okada said.  "Hum, perhaps it would be better to work with Tsuyoshi." a glare from Nagase. "I better go see if Yuki-chan will help me with his lines...I mean my lines."  He got off his bed, and left.

"I better see if leader needs me." Nagase said leaving.

"Come here," Koichi's voice was deeper then usual. "I need you."

Tsuyoshi got off his bed, and went to Koichi's. He bent down, kissing Koichi. He could hear his partner sigh, and then give into the kiss. He could feel Koichi's hands on him, pulling him down to the bed. He stretched out beside Koichi.

"Watching you touch yourself really turned me on." Koichi's lips went to Tsuyoshi's ear.  "I'm glad we got rid of them."

"I am too."

Just then, Koichi's ketai rang. His friend sat up, and took it off the bed side table.  He touched a button then put the ketai up to his ear. "Moshi, Moshi." There was a long pause. Then Koichi said softly. "Yes Master, I'll be ready." Another pause. "I can't wait to see you." Then Koichi turned off the phone.

"You have to go." Tsuyoshi guessed.

"Hai." Koichi didn't look at him.

Tsuyoshi got off the bed; he went to his own bed and sat down.  Koichi got off the bed and went to the dresser. He picked up his brush and began to brush his hair. Then suddenly Koichi stopped brushing, his held onto the dresser. His shoulders began to shake.

For the first time Tsuyoshi realized how much going to the mansion affected Koichi.  Tsuyoshi wasn't sure what to do. Then he realized that he would be the only one who could comfort him. He went to his friend.  He reached out, touching Koichi's back.  Koichi turned, and Tsuyoshi took him in his arms. His friend clung to him.

"The Manager's having a party tonight. He wants me to be the entertainment." Koichi finally said. "I don't want to go. I want to stay here with you."

"I want you to stay too."

"How can you love me, when you know I'm with other men?" Koichi's grip grew tighter. "I can't count the number of men the Manager's made me entertain."

"It doesn't count if it's against your will." Tsuyoshi reminded him. "If I'm the only one in your heart, that's enough for me."

"I should tell you what's been going on at the mansion." Koichi began.

"It doesn't' matter to me." He tried to reassure. "If you don't want to tell me you don't have to. I've been there too. I have a good idea what's going on."

"You're right, you have been there." Koichi told him. 'It's been worse since we debuted. I thought it might get better. He might get tired of me. Instead I found out that there are men who will pay good money to sleep with a Kinki Kid."

"The only thing that is important to me is that you come back home."

"When I come back tonight, can I sleep in your bed?"

"You're always welcome in my bed." Tsuyoshi kissed him gently. "Someday all this will be over. We'll be allowed to live together as lovers. You have to have faith that that will happen."

"Faith," Koichi repeated.

"Always remember I trust you." Tsuyoshi reminded him. "No matter what happens, I will always trust you."

*******************

Insomnia, Tsuyoshi was having another bout of sleeplessness caused by worry about his friend. He lay on his bed, waiting for Koichi's return. Tsuyoshi heard the door open. He quickly closed his eyes.  He could hear someone come in, and the door closed.  Then he felt Koichi touch him very gently on the cheek. Then a light kiss. It took all of his control not to kiss back.

"All of this is worth it, if you are at my side." He heard Koichi whisper.

Then Koichi's hand left his cheek, and he walked away from him.  Tsuyoshi opened his eyes. In the half light, he could see his partner taking off his shirt.  His back was bruised.  He slipped off his pants, fresh bruises covered his legs.

Nude, Koichi went to his bed, and lay down beneath the thin sheet.  He turned his back to Tsuyoshi. In a few minutes, Tsuyoshi could see him shaking. Koichi was crying.

*He needs me.* Tsuyoshi got out of bed. He crossed over to Koichi's bed.  "Ko-chan."

"I'm sorry I woke you."

"Can I hold you?" he whispered. Koichi nodded. He lay down beside Koichi. The older teen turned, and Tsuyoshi took him in his arms.

Koichi clung to him as he cried. They had done this many, many times when Koichi had first become the manager's favorite. Now it was more then that, Tsuyoshi now knew what Koichi was going through. Their pain was a shared pain.

When Koichi was finished crying, he said. "I don't want to talk about tonight. I just want you to hold me."

"I'm here as long as you need me." Tsuyoshi promised.

"Safe, you make me feel so safe." Koichi told him. "When you hold me, I feel as if nothing can harm me."

"I'll always protect you." Tsuyoshi vowed.
