A MOTHER'S
POEM
For those who have lost their
Mother's
And are feeling down and blue
Close your eyes and think of her
She's smiling down at You
Our Memories never fade away
She's in our heart's in every way
A wink, a kiss, a hug or two
She always knew just what to do
You're grown, She's gone
You are Mother now
Remembering the smell of her hair
The naptime stories, the bedtime prayers
For all she has given you
Is now yours to give
Take care of your children always
And let them know they are Dear
As my little ones whisper
Sweetly in my ear
"I'm scared I'm gonna lose you Mom"
With big brown eyes and tears
I close my eyes and catch my
breath
And say softly to their ears
"I hope this never happens,
But baby if you do
Close your eyes and remember me
I'm smiling down at You..."

I thought of You again today.
All I wanted was for You to stay...
I wake up and I think of You
and I go to bed feeling blue...
I know I have to let You go...
Everyone tells me this is so...
See, My life has stopped since
You passed away,
Sometimes I can't bear it
even for one more day...
Thoughts of You consume Me
every second of everyday,
I just want it back, you know,
the way things used to be...
In my life You held the key
and now I have just Your memory
And though it's not enough for Me,
This is how it has to be...
I need to laugh again
Without feeling guilty
You aren't here...
I feel so alone & full of fear.
it's terribly hard when all that's
left is tears...
Wendell & the Kids need Me
but the pain inside won't let Me be
I'm supposed to be enjoying
My times with those Three...
You taught Me to hold my head high
be Strong, & think Smart...
You taught Me to be true
with every inch of My Heart...
When you lost your Mother
no one knew your pain
I understand it now
it can make You feel insane...
Oh how You must've missed her
I know she was your best friend
You painted together,
laughed a lot and didn't get
to finish your plans before
it came to an end...
You've been gone for almost 2 years now
and everynight I pray to God...
I tell him I'm leaving it in His hands
and Please Lord, help me deal with this,
the best way that I can...
I pray We meet again someday
There's so much more I need to say
To hold your hand
and see Your face
Just to be in the presence
of Your Grace...
I Love you so much,
I promise to keep You safe ,
where You've always been of course,
In My heart, that's the place...
Good-bye Mom,
I'm going to find some inner peace
I'll do it for You, for Me, for Us...
Ashes to Ashes, dust to dust...
I know God will take care of You,
In this We can trust...
I'll Not be dead among the living,
Wendell, Drew, and Rachel
need Me to keep on giving...
These things I learned from You,
I know crying all the time
is not what You
would want Me to do...
So,I'll give them My love,
My Strength and Courage,
just as You have shown Me,
May God watch over You Mom,
For I'll always Love Thee...
