LOS ANGELES LAKERS NEWS

The NBA season is over and obviously the Chicago Bulls won their 6th championship. The Draft has already taken place and the Lakers chose Minnesota's Guard/Forward Sam Jacobsen with the 26th pick, Forward Ruben Patterson of Cincinati
with the 31st pick, and UCLA Guard Toby Bailey with pick number 45, but gave him to Phoenix for future considerations.
L.A. also traded Nick Van Exel (my favorite player) to the Denver Nuggets for Forward Tony Battie and the 23rd pick of the
draft, a guard from Nebraska, Tyronn Lue. Personally, I think this was a terrible trade (and not just because he's my favorite player) but I think they could've made some better choices...more news to come soon!
