was born Aug 3, 1899 and died Sep 2, 1986 in Polk County, IA. She was one of 12 children, all born in IA. Her parents were Carl Simon Drottz and Phoebe R. Bell. (As some of Ida's siblings are still alive I will not post their names).

was born 1842 in Gammalkil, Ostergotland, Sweden, died July 14, 1926
in Des Moines, IA, and is buried in Woodland Cemetary in Des Moines.
He married Sara Maria Gabrielsdotter, who was born March 15, 1810 in Kisa parish, Sweden. Sara's parents were the crofter Gabriel Samuelsson (born 1776 in Kisa) and Stina Persdotter (born 1778 in Kisa) (info re: Kisa household examination rolls for years 1805-1810).
Carl Magnus Carlsson Drotts parents are indicated
to be Carl Persson, a farmer born in 1766 in Kallstad parish, Sweden
and Lisken Hemmingsdotter, born 1772 in Tjarstad parish, Sweden
(re Ulrika household examination rolls
for the years 1806-1815).

contact with descendants of Harry Simon Drottz and Carl William Drottz, two
of Ida Drottz' brothers, as well as Samuel Peter Drottz, youngest brother
of Carl Jacob Drottz. Meeting these new Drottz family members has been wonderful.
