Sergio became the Ki-Be Invite's first 4X champion. He pinned Chase Stemp of Kennewick in the semi's and the took care of Ephrata's Aaron Koons in the finals 13-2. Sergio put the hurt on Koons with his second takedown into a nearside cradle for a commanding lead. Koons wrestled defensively in the third and limited the damage against himself.

Josh Corke won his second consecutive Ki-Be Invite title with a commanding 28-12 tech fall of Mike Piper of Riverside. Josh recorded 12 takedowns in the match and also roughed up Piper with a leg ride when they were on the mat. Josh scored 6 TD's on the first, 5 in the second and the final one in the third was a bear hug to the back to finish off Piper.

Josh Corriell won his first Ki-Be Invite title, and also his first career tournament championship. Josh recorded 2 pins in his two matches.

Hector Gonzalez was the opponent for Josh in the final at 189 after recording a 5-2 win over Josh Pacheco of Ephrata and a 9-2 win over Chase Warner of Goldendale. Gonzalez and Corriell will give the Bears great depth at 189, especially at the district tourney.

Brandon Ashley captured his second runner up medal of the year. He scored the first takedown against Romi Gonzalez and was very aggresive. Gonzalez escaped and got himself going with a takedown and took Brandon to his back to take command of the match. Ashley defeated AJ Cummings of Ephrata in the semi's with and impressive pin.

Craig Nunamaker wrestled a good tournament taking third place. Craig started the tourney with a pin of Cole Lash of Goldendale. After dropping to the consolation bracket he won a tight 15-14 match against Jose Contreras of Kennewick. He finished the day off with a pin against Daniel Sandoval of Grandview.

Jose Gonzalez started the tournament with an enspired 10-7 victory over Michael Marlow of Kennewick and then wrestled very well against Bryan Caraway of Goldendale (3rd at state in 2001), losing 8-4.

Ramon DelAngel lost a close match to Brandon Craven of Ephrata in the Semi's, 14-12. Ramon trailed 14-7 late in the match but came back to put Craven on his back to pull within 14-10. A takedown with seconds to go made it 14-12. Ramon nearly put Craven on his back again, but did not hold him there long enough to get any points.

Tony Chapin surprised the competition at 140 by recording a pin and then winning a close 6-1 match against the #2 seed, Matt Clore of Riverside. Tony wrestled tough in the finals, but succumbed to a Craven pin.

Kyle Nickerson captured a runner-up medal and had another good day of wrestling. He started with a pin in the first round and then won a 6-2 match against Michael Newenschwander of Burbank. Against Garrett Klein, Kyle wrestled cautiously and managed to tie the match up a couple of times before Klein won the match on an escape, 5-4.

Cody Roos pinned Gonzalo Galindo of Grandview in the semi's and then took on Jake Healy of Ephrata in the finals. Roos started slowly and then tried to come back late in the match. Healy hung on for a 9-7 victory.

Kevin Hunter captured second place at the tourney by recording a pin of Cam Hall of Kennewick in the semi's. In the finals Joey Onigkeit of Riverside was to much for Kevin as he pinned him in the first round.

The Bears placed third in the tournament behind Ephrata and Riverside. Ephrata joins the Bears as back to back winners of the Ki-Be Invite.
