285 - Tanner Cook pinned his way to the final, including a fantastic pin of Teigan Glidewell of Freeman in the semi-finals. Trailing in the match after being taken down and hurting his knee, Tanner recovered to roll Teigan to his back and then grabbed a head and arm at the edge of the mat for a quick pin. Glidewell argued that he was out of bounds or at least not pinned, but to no avail. Tanner had a great season and will be back next year to try again.

106 - Jaron out-wrestled his first three opponents and looked primed to win the title. After winning 12-1, 5-1, and 9-0 Gunter went up against T.J. Baun of Colville in the final. Jaron wrestled tough but Baun was relentless and very aggressive in his approach and caught Gunter in a throw to end the final. Jaron has two more good year left to capture his title.

100 - Brittnee Cook rolled through her first two matches with a pin and a 11-2 win. Elizabeth Galvez of Toppenish stopped her in the semi-finals, but Brittnee came back with two impressive matches to take third. Fantastic wrestling career for Britnee Cook.

160 - Kareem lost in the quarter-finals in a 4 overtime match with Logan Nelson of Vashon Island. Kareem held the lead on a few occassions in the match and in the overtime, before Nelson got the match ending takedown to win. Kareem faced a monumental task then, needing to win 4 more matches to take 3rd. He did just that winning 5-2, 3-1 (on an escape and takedown with 13 seconds remaining), a pin in overtime (after tieing the match in regulation at 4 with an escape). He then wrestled Nelson again and defeated him 3-1 this time for 3rd place. An end to a great career for Kareem.

145 - Elsa pinned her way to the semi-finals before being pinned in and dropping to the consolation bracket. Another pin put her in the 3rd place match, where she was pinned by an opponent she had previously pinned. Elsa has 2 more great years of wrestling to go and should acheive even better things, although 4th is pretty good!

182 - Dakotah Petty made the most of his senior year by making a trip to state. He collected a pin in his consolation round match and then lost a close 5-2 match to the Region 1 champion. Dakotah will be remembered for allows going all out in all of his matches.

152 - Isaiah Callaway made his second trip to state and wrestled two tough matches. He lost to the eventual state champ Garret Brown of Lakeside. His final match was an 11-5 loss to Joel Mohn of Forks. Callaway will be back next year looking for more.
