CWAC SOUTH 4TH PLACE TIEBREAKER

Naches defeated Kiona-Benton 7-0 in a one-series Kansas style playoff, giving the Rangers the South Division's fourth spot in the CWAC district playoffs.

In the second tiebreaker of the day between Ki-Be and Naches, the Rangers took the field first and scored on Scott Mullins' 5-yard run. Mullins had set it up with a nifty pass to Wayne Bethune to the Bear five-yard-line. Andy Fretwell kicked the extra point. The Bears moved to the Ranger 15 on there first three plays, but three passes by Brian Flores to Jeff Linehan fell incomplete.

In the first tiebreaker, Ki-Be held Grandview without a first down on the Greyhounds' series. Bears quarterback Brian Flores then hit wideout Jeff Linehan for a 12-yard touchdown to advance.
