Nurses Memorial

This is probably my next favorite memorial following the Korean Memorial. This one speaks to me on so many levels and brings out so many emotions. It's easy to simply sit and gaze at the monument and feel deeply for those nurses who served during wartime and the nurses who continue to serve us not only during wartimes but every day in our hospitals and other caregiving facilities.

Soldiers Memorial

The Soldiers Memorial is equally poignant in its own way. I can't begin to imagine how family's lives were changed by sons and daughters and fathers and mothers and husbands and wives being called to war to serve their country. Some coming home again, never to be the same. Too many not making it home again.
