Oh my dear diary, just what exactly do I say about Seven? Moreso than any member of my crew, I feel completely, totally responsible for this young woman. Seven of Nine, Tertiary Adjunct to Unimatrix Zero-One. Born Annika Hansen. A true thorn in my side, tho' I would be lying if I said I didn't enjoy the more ascerbic, esoteric banter between us. And I'd truly be remiss if I said I didn't get a certain thrill whenever she blantantly disobeys my orders. I don't know what it is about her. Perhaps her fierce independent streak...or her calm Borg logic...or her childlike innocence. Whatever it is, I know that I will always be surprised and delighted by Seven't journey toward regaining her lost humanity. And should the day ever come that she doesn't somehow, in some way, manage to surprise me, then I believe on that day my life is no longer worth living and exploring.
