Sunday,
January 20th, 2002:
Wouldn't you know it!? It's a new year and I came acorss something...something
very interesting. It's a diary entry that was created late last year but
never saw the daylight of the actual book. So, I thought I'd start the
new year off by officially closing out the last year.
So, I'm titling this entry "Out With the Old...In With the
New + The Lost Entry- 2001".
The Lost Entry- 2001, originally created on December 17,
2001 is as follows...
Ok,
I decided to make another entry faster than I had originally thought.
Don't you feel special? Afterall, how often do you get to read fresh material
from my brain? So jump for joy and remember me when you go shopping! I
can't stress that enough. Since you're not making entries in my guestbook
on a regular basis, then you can make up for it by shelling out a little
cabbage on me. That's not too much to ask for, is it?
Speaking
of asking, I decided to share my letter to Santa Clause with you all. It's
a little personal, but then again, everything in here is personal. |

You know I don't ask for much, but I sometimes get the feeling you just
don't listen to me. Either that or you just fly right past my house and
never look back. It's like, what up wit dat?
Am I not good enough for you? I've got this huge park behind my house,
so landing isn't a problem. Plus, if Rudolph and the boys had a little
too much eggnog before the trip, no one will notice if they do their business
out there!
Anywys, back to my letter of wants...er umm...my requests...
This year, would it be too much to ask for a dogsled? I recently watched
the tv show The Amazing Race, and they rode on some dogsleds and
I thought they were soooo cool! I want!
Next, I'd like to get something that will last for years. Something like
my very own NHL team. There are a few teams in trouble, but we'll stay
away from them. How about setting down, under my non-existant tree, the
ownership of the Toronto Maple Leafs? I'll do you proud with it...I swear!
If that's too much to ask, how about just delivering the Stanley Cup to
me and my fellow Maple Leafs fans of this town at the end of the playoffs?
And I don't mean free tickets to the Hockey Hall of Fame! I want to see,
on the cup itself, the name "Toronto Maple Leafs- 2001/02",
along with the names of the players like Mats and Cujo and Mikael and
Aki and Tie and...wow, what a bunch of weird names!
Ok, moving right along...I'd like to see the end of the NFL season. Is
it just me or does nobody care anymore? Hmmm, I don't even know what week
we're in of the schedule and I don't even know when the Snoozer Bowl is
either. All I know is that U2 is going to be there during halftime and
will probably the only highlight of the entire day.
Now, for some simplier things...I'd like the Hope Diamond. It's only a
minuscule 45.52 carat diamond...no one will miss it. I bet I can get about
$150 for it if I sold it to some sucker! But you don't need to know that
part. Just get me the thing and we'll never mention it to anyone. Deal?
I'd like to own some land, so do you think you can give me California?
I want to travel places, so I'll need a way to get around...would having
something like Boeing be in your powers? I'll make the plane look nice,
so if you also throw in IKEA, I can decorate it in style!
I'm also hungry, could you bring me a bowl of grapes...and Amy Wynn of
Trading Spaces to feed them to me? I promise I won't ask her to giggle
for me as she feeds me.
For entertainment purposes...
This
is where the lost entry ended, just when I think things were going to
be interesting!
But, sadly things didn't continue and therefore Santa never got my list
:(
No wonder I didn't get anything like this over Christmas. Oh well, there's
always next Christmas...which is only 339 days away...ugh.
Oh, by the way, this being my first entry or update of my site since December
17th of last year, almost a full month, I just want to say I'M
STILL ALIVE!!
Thank you.
I had a nice holiday season. Spent it with someone special in my life,
capping off what probably is the best year of my life.
I won't go into details because you don't need to know everything.
I know this is a diary and is the place we're supposed to reveal private
things, but hey, we don't always do what we're supposed to do, right?
Memories will last through snapshots and conversations. One thing that
won't be forgotten though is "the flop". It created one laugh-a-thon...ah
yes, memories.
So
I finally went in search of "The Pasture" in downtown
TO. Wouldn't you know it, there it was! If you don't know what that is,
it's a grass field in the heart of the city, outside of a number of tall
buildings in the financial district on Bay Street (the Toronto Dominion
Plaza to be exact). On this field, there are a number of sculptures, laying
around on the grass, made out of bronze. I was happy to finally find them
after years of hearing about them from someone else. And this person doesn't
even live here! I know, I'm just lazy to do things at times.
But it was so nice to check that off my "things to see in my own
town" list.
Anyways,
I think this is enough for entry number 1 of the year. I won't wait a
month before inserting entry number 2, so no flame mail...please! Not
that I get any by the way :(
Peace! |
