(Thanks to Robert Heiling) Skönvik (means "beautiful cove" and would be pronounced "Shone-Veek") is in Västernorrlands Län. There is a Sundsbruk nearby and also Sundsvall (the major city). They are on the east coast of Sweden almost due north, but a little west of Stockholm, on the branch of the sea that goes north from the Baltic and is named Bottenhavet.
