A dream

It is something I've wanted to do for a long time and after 3 years of work and ready for a change, I decided that the time was right.

Travelling east from Paris is the best way to go if you don' want to use the plane. From Paris to Singapore, I can use ground transport such as train, bus, bike and even foot.

Sounds easy ? Well in many countries it is fairly straighforward but other countries can encounter difficulties (land border not accesible by ground, nasty offcials etc.) This will mean taking a detour or trying to negotiate with border officials.

Why travel without a plane ?

To be different and this way I felt I would really be able to experience the different cultures in each country visited. When you take the plane you can't decide to stop whenever you feel like it.

It is also a great way to meet not only fellow travellers but local people.
