to provide the average citizen with an opportunity to both learn about the damage done to our prized justice system as well as far too many trusting citizens by this far too common protected practice of far too many trial lawyers...and...

HOW WE CITIZENS CAN HELP

STOP IT!

NOTE: Despite Justice Berger's highly critical statement, the actual percentage of unethical lawyers may be relatively small - just as the percentage of persons who drink and drive (re: MADD) who then actually kill someone while driving a potentially "lethal weapon" may also be relatively small.
HOWEVER - the damage that can be done by even one unethical lawyer can be quite significant.
Even ONE unethical lawyer is too many and there ARE too many unethical trial lawyers.

Those lawyers who misuse the controversial
"Freedman rule" by which law schools teach that truth is secondary to "winning!"
Those lawyers that are too often protected by their states' bar association - possibly
in a misguided effort to protect the reputation of the profession as a whole.
Such effort is wasted because much of the public neither trust nor respects the entire profession,
inpart because of the bar's so frequently sweeping under the rug the misdeeds of its
 UNETHICAL members.
