 William "Bill" Hayes Cemetery located in Adams ~ photo circa 1941.  This is Joyce  (Burton) Wallace and her sister Phyllis taken in front of their grandmother's, Mary Jane Ramey Hayes, house in about 1941. The house has since burn down.  The William Hayes Cemetery is situated on the hill behind the house.  John Rice Hayes, son of William and Margaret Carter Hayes, and Joyce's grandfather.  Photo & information contributed by Chuck Wallace.

 

Dock Travis burial (1937) in the Greenville Travis Cemetery ~ Wilbur (Now Blaine) ~ On far left: Tennie (Travis) Walters, b: 1878;  unidentified Travis; Roy B. Travis, b: 1918; Perlina Travis, b: 1894;  this is either Noah Travis, b: 1891 or Henry Travis, b:1888; Julia (Cordle/Cordial) Travis, b: 1895;  Milton Travis, b: 1890; Greenville Travis, b:1895; James Garfield Travis, b: 1886. Martin V.Dixon Cemetery ~ Walter Hayes, a descendant of Martin Dixon, has restored this cemetery and placed new markers on all of the graves. It is located about a half mile past where you turn off to the right to go to the Greenville Travis cemetery. Greenville and Martin's wives were sisters. Joyce Hayes (Walter's wife) Debbie McKenzie (Val's wife) and Walter Hayes.   All of the markers had not been set when these photos were taken. Photos and information contributed by Val McKenzie.

 

Isaac Hayes Cemetery ~ Isaac was a brother to Delilah Hayes Travis. The cemetery is located on the right side of the road not far from where you turn onto Travis Branch. Photos and information contributed by Val McKenzie.
