This fall Paul will begin work on a new TV series for BBC. The name of the series is FISHPaul plays a defense lawyer  who is a specialist in miscarriages of justice and civil liberties. It will be 6 parts and is said to be the first in a series of BBC dramas being developed by Mal Young.  More news on this as it is available.

This has been passed on by Steph of PMEB fame:  MONOCLED MUTINEER is being re-released on video!!  Here's the catch for all of us on this side of the Atlantic - it will be in the UK on PAL only, which of course cannot  be viewed on American VCR's.  If you are in the US and want this film (anyone reading this page who doesn't either has it already or needs a good shaking) email me for some suggestions.  To purchase click here.

Filming for NATURE BOY is finished.  As Paul explained, "It tells the story of a sixteen year-old northern lad who, though a townie, spends most of his hours alone at a nearby coastal nature reserve, living out and honing skills taught him by his long since absent father (that's me).  He says little but thinks a lot, particularly of the increasing ache to find his old man, if just to ask him why he had to leave."  It is Produced by Catherine Wearing, who also produced OUR MUTUAL FRIEND and will be a 4 part serial. Watch this space for updates about when it will be broadcast.

FORGOTTEN was broadcast in the UK on February 15 and happily the ratings were excellent. It is the story of a small town where a young girl has gone missing.  It is described as "spooky" with a "Twin Peaks" flavor.  Paul plays the father of a little girl whose family owns a bed and breakfast in the same town.  The little girl is played by a young actress Paul saw perform in a school play.  This is her first major role and word is she has blown everyone away.

CEREMONY OF INNOCENCE This is a CD ROM interactive "book".  No other way to describe it.  Along with Paul, Isabella Rosellini and Ben Kingsley provide the voices.  It is based on the book by Nick Bantock.  I have it on good authority that Bantock wrote the character of Griffin with Paul in mind.  It is beautiful, visually and aurally and is a unique and effective way of presenting this beautifully illustrated book. Ceremony of Innocence has won numerous awards including Best in Show at the New Medi Invision Awards (Steph, thanks for this info!)
