A recent issue of Doctor Who Magazine has published some misinformation about Paul that first appeared in the Sunday Times back in February.  It states that Paul has serious stage fright and will not do live theater again. This is not true, in fact he may be doing another play later this year but the details are not finalized.

Paul spoke to a man from The Stage newspaper and was asked if he had ever suffered from stage fright. Paul said yes he had and referred to an incident that occurred over a decade ago during the West End run of the play LOOT. It was the first night. They were doing the scene where the wrapped up body is being grappled with on stage and Paul accidentally dropped the body into the front row of the audience. The late, great Leonard Rossiter, who was playing the policeman, said "go on...ask for it back boy!" and Neil Pearson covered for Paul while he retrieved the body from the front row of the stalls.  Such an experience would give anyone a fright but Paul has appeared in many plays since.

Also, the writer made statements that Paul was anxious when performing in
Sabina   last year and was completely wiped out each night.  I saw 2 performances of Sabina and Paul certainly did not appear nervous on stage. I also had the good  fortune of chatting with him after both shows.  No one can convince me that I was speaking to someone who was wiped out.  He was very relaxed, fun and friendly and withstood the onslaught of 15 adoring fans amazingly well.  Check out the pics.
