-
https://lhillclasses.tripod.com/ncte.htm
In November 2001, I was asked to speak at the
national conference of the National Council
Teachers of English in Baltimore, Maryland.
This section focuses on the 8 reasons I believe
that technology must be incorporated in the
English classroom as well as all classrooms.
I used the principals from my article that was
published in English Journal.
Teaching

Technology into their curriculum - Hotlist of
Useful Websites for Educators -
https://lhillclasses.tripod.com/rutgerslinks.htm
The Internet can be a bewildering place.
This site helps new (and seasoned) teachers tame
the wild beast by showing the various categories
of useful sites and some examples.
Creating
a WebQuest -

I was asked to teach a workshop on creating
webquests at the Burlington County ETTC.
Feel free to use it as you see fit.
Creating
Forms and Surveys -

Interactivity is an integral way to include the
Internet in the classroom. This site gives
teachers basic information about what a form or
survey is and how it can be created.

After School Sessions: Professional
Development Program -
https://lhillclasses.tripod.com/faqsummary.doc
Along with two other colleagues, I created an
after school program that helps teachers to learn
the skills necessary to bring technology into the
classroom. We were awarded a Foundation
grant at our school for this program and found it
successful. This file is our
"pitch" to the foundation.
These
are just a few of the materials I have
used in my workshops for educators. If you would like some
other ideas, feel free to email me at lhillclasses@prodigy.net.
