How long does the spring last in a year? Two thirds of Spring has already
passed. Dark green leaves and bright red blossoms are all pleasing to the eyes.
However, in the yard full of poplar trees and behind the window screen through
which the warm wind blows, a man pines. Purchasing flowers and wine at Chang-an
City 1 is not as delightful as observing peach and plum blossoms on
the mountain of my hometown. I do not blame the east wind for blowing my
traveler-tears away. My longing for my old home is indescribable. Dreams are
intangible; going home is the only solution.
