Transition Planning
Skill Retention and Enhancement Planning
This is a critical part of Future Care Planning because special
people generally need more focused attention and work in order to retain and imporve their
skills. Life Planning Institute assists families in identifying the
local resources available to provide these services.
Employment Planning
Self-satisfying work is an important objective for many Special
Needs individuals and their families. Employment planning involves doing a
vocational assessment of the special person and defining the skills needed and
opportunities available for satisfying work experiences.
Residential Planning
The fear of not being able to protect their child can lead many
families to paralysis when it comes to future residence planning. We assist families
in defining the residential options and the local resources available to serve the special
person early in the transition process.
