Election 2000

My Pick for president

Well here we go our nation is about to embark on the journey to elect a new leader. As I watch the news shows on TV they would have you believe that George W. Bush is the man to beat and that Al Gore does not stand a chance. (Because the nation needs to forget President Clinton's Mistakes.) Why is it that the media witch I might add is suppose to be non bias on any of the candidates. But they sure dictate the policy on what the public thinks? How come none of the networks have been knocking at my door asking me what I think the important issues are? What I would like to do with this page is to try to show you who the candidates are and you will be able to see where the stand on the issues.(just click on any of the names and that will send you to there web site.) George W. Bush has even gone as far as to open his books on his contributors so we can see where his money is coming from. I am sure the others will follow suit very soon. African Americans need to pay close attention to this election because we stand to lose the most. President Clinton has done more for the Blacks than any other president be it that it has been the talented tenth that has prospered but it showed Blacks in a much different light. President Clinton always has Black faces around him. And we need to chose a new president that is going to keep moving Blacks forward or at least open up doors so we can move our own selves up. Let us use this opportunity wisely and make an informed choice we now have the means to have our concerns herd via the Internet other special interest groups will be getting there word out. So lets get motivated and start discussing who would be the best candidate that has our issues in mind. And even if our choice is not the one chosen we need to make sure we are not pushed to the back of the bus, our voices must be heard and our concerns addressed. This time around our votes need to be earned not just given to whom our so-called Black leaders tell us to. We need to make sure we are not taken for granted. I will be Up-dating this page on a weekly basis and, I hope you will take some time to take this election seriously and give me your feedback and support by passing this site on to all you can.
