Unknown Angel

You were just sitting there
Looking so innocent.
I wanted to say hello,
Say anything, but couldn’t.

Visions of us dancing, laughing
Play in my head.
Just had to go to you.
Was frozen instead.

It may not have ended happily,
In fact maybe quite terribly,
But I will never know,
Which will forever torment me.

What is the good of changing
If I remain the same?
Am I doomed to be alone
The rest of my days?

If the stars align,
And the fates allow,
Hope I get another chance
To meet my unknown angel

where now?
