We are assured that we can rely on the validity of the Word and
that, through it, we are thoroughly furnished with all we need to do all He requires of us.
Sin separated us from God. This is where we were before Christ.
Fallen, dead, unable to qualify for God's salvation through our own actions.
We were dead in our sins...then washed in the blood of Jesus....which
separated us from sin, and our flesh, and quickened us unto Him, thus we were rejoined to God.
Once we are separated from sin, we are renewed with knowledge. We
must begin to think with the mind of Christ.(WWJD....)
Now, everything we do or say, we should do or say in the name of
Jesus, giving thanks to God and everything we do or say should give Him glory.
We were born of human, or corruptable, seed, then reborn of Jesus,
who is the incorruptable seed. Once we are born again, our slate is clean. We are free.
We have to make sure that we remain free. If we do, then everything
God is going to give to Jesus is ours also as joint heirs with Him.
We need to guard ourselves against "playing church". We need to
understand the power of the Holy Spirit and allow it to work in us.
The Bible is a tool of power and we need to grow in maturity and
not be satisfied staying a babe in the Word.
(You would not give the keys to your car to an eight year old, neither
will the Lord give us more than we are mature enough to handle.)
In I Peter 5:8, the Lord says, "your" adversary.....not His adversary.
The devil is an enemy of God and all of mankind, but he is not God's adversary as the Lord has already defeated him.
A lot of people carry on debates and long winded accusations with
the devil when in actuality we should follow Christ's example in Matthew 8:28-32.
He said one word...."Go".
We have the same authority over the devil in the name of Jesus.
As long as we ask everything in the name of Jesus, give God the
glory, and pray within His will , He will give us what we pray for in faith.
But, He only answers prayers of faith.
God tells us what His will is. The Holy Spirit will tell us
what to pray for and how to pray for it.
As God's children, we are privy to the mysteries of God that the
world cannot understand.
Faith in Jesus, gives us access to God's presence. The blood of
Jesus makes us worthy to stand in the presence of God and come into His courts with boldness.
Nothing can separate us from the love of Christ and we can face
anything in His strength.
We know that we will have afflictions, but we also know that He
will deliver us out of them.(This does not mean that He will always remove them, but He will deliver us THROUGH them.)
Matthew 15: 21-28 shows us how powerfully faith can persuade the
Lord.
Jesus gave His life so that we would be free of the curse of the
law and able to live by faith.
Through Jesus we are able to have the faith as Abraham had. We are
to call those things which are not as though they are until they are manifested.
God will honor our stedfastness; He will honor our prayers.
So, where is our place in Christ?
We are joint heirs and we have all the promises in the Word as long
as we seek Him first.
