Keep Checking Here For Updates:

August 15th, 2008

Well, it's been another while here since my last update. Still working away at the album, finished another song.  It's going to be less of an acoustic album, but more along the lines of Zakk Wylde/Black label Society's "Hangover Music" a bit of a chilled album, but with electrics still in the fold.  I have gotten an upgrade on my equipment, now using a Line 6 Guitar Port (looking to upgrade that) and an Epiphone Limited Edition Special II "Mr. Skull".guitar. Both sound great and you will be able to notice a difference.  Also on Sept. 13th at 4:00 pm I will be going on "Port City Talent", a local radio show hosted by a friend of mine. I will be playing some new songs on there too, so you should tune in.  Steve Belyea, who has directed my previous two videos will be coming on to talk about working with me on the videos and other MB surprises worth tuning in to hear about. Sorry I haven't posted lately, there really hasn't been much else going on musically for me.  I'm working away at the album, to make sure it sounds great.  I've always felt the first two albums were cheating you out of your money due to inferior production, so this time it's going to be a little more legit.  Also been thinking of recording a concert with just family and friends to release on DVD.and CD. Well my friends and fans, I'll try to keep updating the page more often to let you know more about the album.  It's been over a year in the making so far and I am so sorry about that. Take care, live free, rock hard.

Hey Guys, Video for dead dance done and on youtube!! Just search Malevolent Bratchny, or Dead Dance and you'll be able to find it!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dDJP9QYR2R4 WATCH IT, Steve did a great job with it. Been still slowly plugging away with the album. Created a facebook profile for MB, you can watch the video there too!

Hello Me, It's ME AGAIN!! haha, How's everybody doing? I'm no t too bad. Just uploaded some new tracks to the internet for all to hear!! Thanks to Purevolume.com everyone now gets to hear two new tracks from the forthcoming album "3". "Dead Dance" and "Rock & Roll". The video for "Dead Dance" was also shot and is in editing stages, so that means chances are it will be done before I'm done the album - meaning you get it on the album along with all the normal bonus goodies. What's that? You didn't know about the bonus goodies? if you have Patient 666, put it into your computer and check out the video, lyrics, and other shit!! Other than that, still working on the album, I'm using updated software now and a computer with a better sound card so the music will sound better too. Awesome guys, thinking about having a mailing list. E-mail me if you think it's a good Idea. Well take care all.

HaHa, two updates in two days! I'm on a roll.  Work on another Malevolent Bratchny music video is going to be started shortly.  Hopefully released with the acoustic album, but possibly on a single for the song as well.  Working again with "Evil" Steve Nelyea as the director.  The song is titled "Dead Dance"  Conecptions have started but no solid plans for the productiom.  Zombies though.  Sweet.  Just wanted to let you all know something you have to look forward to.  Have a good one, live free, rock hard, and DRIBNK BEER

Hey everyone, For the die hard fans that keep checking or receive updates everytime the site gets updated THANK YOU SO MUCH.  Sorry I haven't been updating.  Just recently got internet back at my place, which means I just also recently got my recording software back.  I've been recording again for the last few months.  As it stands, my next album is going to be just acoustic tunes.  Just gettin' out of a rough period in life and working on some deep stuff, that's important to me.  After that though, I'll be recording more normal.  Already have a couple tunes for the album following the acoustic one, but they are stored safely away. Another reason I'm doing the acoustic album is I am also rebuilding my peavey nitro.  Took it all apart and am replacing the neck/fretboard and putting in new pickups, while doing a new paintjob and painting a design on the body - possibly up the back of the neck as well.  In doing so, hoping to make my own guitar which has my own sound. Been also working on soloing a lot lately, which will be noticeable on the new albums.  Improvements have been made to my ability and you will notice.  no more sub-par Malevolent Bratchny albums.  Just good shit. so In conclusion, keep checking for updates, especially now that I have the ability to do so more often.  Thanks again to the fans, without you guys, I'm just Matt.

May 12th, 2005,

Wow, it's sure been awhile since I've updated. goddammit I can be an idiot.  anyway, thanks to you fans who did keep checking back. sorry for the input.  Amniosa 42, my next project had been put on hold until now, for I have been unable to gain the proper recording facilities.  but it will be done, oh yes, it will be done.  Amniosis is no more either, due to differences in the lives of the two performers, namely a breakup.  but alas, with this I bring better news, Amniosa-42 will not be the last MB cd, don't you worry, I'm not about to step off this wrecking ball.

Hi everybody.  About a month later than the last time I was able to write here.  I did a show with another small band, puppies in which I was supposed to do lead vocals.  I didn't sing, and we stopped the set half-way through due to other technical difficulties.  However, this did enlighten me and prove a point to me.  I am not meant to do vocals.  so after I finish Amniosa 42, I don't think there will be any more Malevolent Bratchny albums.  I will be doing other projects with other bands, but malevolent bratchny is over after amniosa 42.  I do, however, want to thank everyone who has been there through my tedious career such as Robyn, Adam and every single fan.  I will however be working more with robyn on our project which is currently untitled.  We will be entering a song in the national songwriting competition, which I feel confident we will make some progress.  My production skills have increased since I first tried, so it might work out this time.  anyway, I apologize the necessity of bringing you the bad news of Malevolent Bratchny's death.  and thank you for your support.

Long time no see.  Don't worry, I didn't die or anything.  I just haven't had access to the internet as often.  Anyway, I have a title for my next solo album "Amniosa-42".  I have some songs recorded, but I need to get a computer so I can record more.  No official date or any names for it yet.  THanks for checking, Goodbye

Hey everybody.  Sorry about the lack of input from everyone's favourite one man band.. hehe.. hehe.. sorry. Wishful thinking.  Anyway, Patient 666 was a success, thank you to my fans.  I sold nearly 20 copies.  (which for someone just burning copies of their cd at home and selling to friends isn't bad)  Thank you everyone who bought one.  New material is on it's way though.  The internet is not at my house anymore.  so that is why  there hasn't been any updates since the last time.  New Material is sounding better than the stuff on patient 666.  I've been using the drum synthesizer more often so songs are getting heavier too.  anyway, check back in a couple months, I might have more updates.  Thank you.

April 2nd, 2004
Patient 666 is complete.  As soon as a new photo shoot takes place,  the booklet is finished and the video is completed, it will be ready for sale.  Robyn and I got back together too, that gave me inspiration.  I am personally impressed with the cd, and can't stop listeing to it myself, so if that is any indication.  Anyway,  I'll check back with you guys when I might have an approximate date for release.

March 21st 2004 -

This is my first time updating since November. wow, a lot sure has gone on.  My girlfriend left me (note the change in the about me page), the band is still rocking though.  Patient 666.  You've all probably been wondering what has happened.  It's almost done.  I have 8 or 9 tracks done.  The single will be out soon, to get you all ready for the full length album.  The single is for Napalm Inferno and will feature a video for the song.  It will also include the track Euphoria.  Singles will be 3 dollars each and the full length album (when it is done) will be 5 dollars (as was 655321). Anyway, I must be going now, keep checking back for updates.

Hello fans (yeah.. and monkeys fly out of my butt.) Sorry it's been awhile since I've updated.  Career shit.  Practicing with the band (still the same).  Also, during the summer, I had finished Patient 666 but decided to scrap most of it (save a few tracks) due to it sucking.  I don't want my second cd to be like the filth I call 655321.  I will release Patient 666 when I am damn well happy with it.  Some tracks stay (i.e. road to hell, Napalm Inferno, 3) but most of it is gone.  I might have some of it as bonus tracks on the first 10 copies of the upcoming Patient 666.  The live band will also be titled Malevolent Bratchny, not Patient 666.  Anyway,  On the cd, will be an audio Interview, a video, and pics of the band and myself.   I will more than likely have the interview transcribed on this site when it takes place. The Video is for Napalm Inferno.  Some pics of the "Making of" will be on the site.  Shatter has also broken up, so the link is dead and erased. well, I geuss that's it for now. Rock Hard, Live Fast, Die young.

June 12th, 2003
Patient #666 has four tracks complete, another instrumental - The road to hell and three songs, thank you, leave me for dead, and and at the top.  Malevolent Bratchny also has a live band now, entitled Patient 666. (I know it's the name of the second cd).  A drummer - Andrew Grenier, and A Second Guitarist - Adam Eatman. the band will play Malevolent Bratchny tracks, as well as some new stuff created by the band in a band atmosphere.

Also: your very own, Malevolent Bratchny - Matt Hoy, has been asked to play guitar for another band, Shatter.  A link to this site will be posted on the links page.

Alot of Patient 666 (the cd) will be inspired by the recent death of My three grandparents, so you can look for a song tentatively titled  "3"
well. that's it for now, please check back later for more news.
