"Smith, The Young Hero" was originally written by Danny Peacock and adapted by the group. It tells a story about the old sleepy American Western Township of Smithville. The townsfolk have had a collection to build a schoolhouse, but the money, put into the custody of the Sheriff and his deputy son Ged, goes missing. The loss of the money coincides with the arrive of a travelling medicine show, run by a conman and his sister, Mel and Collie Glumm. The sheriff's other son, Frank, is determined to clear the family name from the shame of losing the money and eventually proves who the real culprits are.
