The Plot

A carol singer is out singing "Good King Wenceslas" when she is approached by a plumber who proceeds to inform her that the words of the song are not only inaccurate, but he knows the true story as he was there!

The characters of the story then come to life as we see King Wenceslas, dresses like Elvis (The King) Presley sleeping off several helping of turkey, mince pies, and christmas pud. The Queen, dressed as the Queen of Hearts, arrives and awakens Wenceslas from his slumber to announce that she has decided that their daughter should wed.

The Prime Minister arrives, dressed in scarf, gloves, and woolly hat to join the debate, apologising for the state of his attire as the Royal Heating system has packed up.

The princess arrives in Punk gear to join the debate but says she doesn't want to get married. During the ensuing argument the King developes hiccups. The Queen, Prime Minister, and Princess all try without success to cure the hiccups, so the Royal astrologer and royal doctor are both called, but share the same lack of success.

The plumber enters ready to fix the heating, notices the King's predicament, goes over to him and slaps him hard on the back and cures the hiccups. The King, grateful to the plumber, offers his daughter's hand in marrage.

We then return to the present day where the carol singer, not believing this tale, carries on singing with the traditional words of the song.
