Dumog
Dumog is a style of grappling indigenious to the Philippine Islands.
The art consists of many various throws, chokes, locks, take-downs, and neck-breaks.Although
it is virtually unknown to most people, it's highly lethal and teaches choke points, vital targets, and the right use of leverage.
The art can be practiced with or without weapons.
Pananjakman
This is the deadly Filipino art of low-line kicking. The art was banned throughout the Philippines during it's Spanish rule.
It was preserved through two games;Sipa and Sikaran. Sipa was a game played by Filipino children which consisted of kicking a rattan ball into the air and not letting
it touch the ground.Sikaran was more of a combatative game in which two men tried two kick each other out of a small circle.Unlike other kicking arts like Tae Kwon Do, the kicks aren't pleasing to
the eye. Because kicks are delivered below the waist, the kicks are easy to deliver and makes them very deadly. The art proves effective in weapons and empty-hand combat. The art teaches balance, proper posture, timing, and rhythm, as well as vital-point striking,
multiple kicking attacks, and the use of other parts of the legs as weapons, such as the shin, the knees, and even the thigh.
Kinimuatai
This is the brutal Filipino art of biting and eye-gouging.Although it cannot be used as a primary fighting style, you can use it as an add-on to any other fighting art.
When mixed with grappling, it can render an opponent virtually helpless. The art's effectiveness has been proven in battle, and is now being taught to high-level military teams, such as the Navy SEALs, and U.S. Army Rangers.
Yaw-Yan
This is a Filipino form of combat which goes through all ranges of fighting.Although the movements are similar to Shootfighting and Muay Thai, the art is strictly Filipino.
The founder of the style is Napoleon A. Fernandez, who was an undefeated All-Asian and Far-East Kickboxing champion. The term Yaw-Yan was from the two last syllables
of "Sayaw ng Kamatayan" which means "Dance of Death".The art is seriously lethal and anyone who has faced a Yaw-Yan stylist has suffered the severe consequences.A student of Yaw-Yan is
taught how to survive in any kind of situation, whether it be on or off the ring.An advanced student of Yaw-Yan has to go through rigorous training that lasts 4 to 8 hours. The art teaches students how to use
the hands and feet as weapons, as well as the elbows, knees, shins, forearms, and palms. The strikes mirror those of Arnis, Panantukan, and mano-mano.The Filipino grappling and ground-fighting art Dumog or Pambuno, as well as the Filipino art of knife-fighting,
are incorperated during Yaw-Yan practice. The art is now a popular competition sport in the Philippines.
