Synopsis
-
This
drama is originally from a comic book, so the
storyline is pretty simple and fun to watch. It
is about a young chef training in a classic Japanese
restaurant (ryoutei) in Tokyo. Nakai-kun played
the role of the young chef, Ihashi Satoru,
an over confindent guy who is hot-temptered and
always get into an argument or fight. However
he is popular among the waitresses because of
his good looks. This makes his work more bearable.
Although, he is rashing and always aruguing with
the master chef, Kumano Shinkichi, but he won't
let anyone speak badly about his master chef.
In part II, is about he went to Kyoto for training.
He is sent to Kyoto to learn, and study Kyoto
style cooking from his oyakata's (Kobayashi) elder
'cooking' brother. He arrives in Kyoto and tries
to show off his 'Tokyo' style which doesn't please
the four working cooking staff there. After work,
Ihashi overhead the Kyoto chefs bad-mouthing Kumano
and he couldn't take it anymore and ended up in
a fight with the other chefs. In the second part,
Katori Shingo (SMAP) appears as a special guest
star. But, he acted as Nakai's enemy! Furthermore,
Nakai had to study for several months under a
master chef to prepare for his role as Ihashi,
the cook! Cool, isn't, Nakai-kun!
