'６９－８７年、鳥取県八頭郡智頭町（「やずぐんちずちょう」と読む）に生誕。実家はお寺（歓喜寺）。田舎生まれ、田舎育ち。小・中・高と通して最も月並みな公立学校に通う。小５から始めたバスケットボールを１０年間夢中で続けるが、一花（賞をとれるようなチームに入る）も咲かず。写真では真ン中の男の子の頭を抱えているのが私です。

(Born in the family running a temple.  Raised in a rural area of main island Japan, Chizu-cho / Yazu-gun / Tottori-ken.  Went to "everybody's" schools all through from elementary  to senior-high.  Played basketball, started from grade 5, for 10 yrs. though never joined a team with honors.  In the picture below, I am in the middle with my arms shifting the boy's head.)
