Employment History.
I am working at present for a company called Anglo Europe Computer Systems LTD Anglo Europe.
Here I am continuing to develop and enhance their existing Access product.
This was a six month paid placement period to gain experience in the use of Visual Basic 5, Microsoft Access 1995 and Microsoft Access 1997 development. I have now been taken on permanently. I have developed two small stand-alone systems using Access 97 and currently working on a third. The first was to store information on equipment offered to a NHS trust for trial. The second system had to log information about a local lottery system i.e. names, addresses and dates of purchase. I am currently working on another Access 97 database to track samples within a laboratory. While I have been here I have learned the basics of SQL. I have also been introduced to Microsoft SQL Server 6.5. I have also co-wrote a VB5 SQL server 6.5 application for a major bank.
This was a period of voluntary work to assist
in the bidding for funds e.g. National Lottery, Charitable Trusts. However,
I became more of a general assistant helping to set out materials to meetings,
photocopying attending meetings and other day to day functions
I undertook the first part of this qualification.
This covered Management Information, Managing Individuals at Work, Introduction
to Marketing and Quantitative Management.
