Poem:   The greatest man I've ever known…

Sweet songs of serenity flow within my soul...

Just to love, and be loved by, the greatest man I’ve ever known.

 You are the foundation by which I built my heart, and because of you I stand today,

To pay you tribute and give you thanks for touching me in your special way.

 Your love for life and warm embrace is something I’ll always treasure,

And yet this gentle spirit was just a small part of the man I’ll remember.

 You were a true gentleman in every sense of the word; your very presence was enough,

And still, through your kindness, you continued to pour out your love.

 You embraced the very essence of everything I hope to attain,

And though you have left this world behind, in my heart you’ll always remain.

 I love you grandpa and though I can’t be near you, you will always be near me.
