1. How to Use It

Q. Yesterday I tried moving recipes from my temporary cookbook into their final destination cookbooks. I went to MasterList, went down to my temporary cookbook, highlighted the recipe, then tried to drag it over to the new cookbook. Nothing!

Now if I go to the individual cookbook, select the recipe and copy it, then open the new cookbook and paste, all goes well (it even takes the category along). But shouldn't I be able to do this in MasterList?

How I drag and drop in MasterList:

A. I drag and drop using 2 MasterLists. I can get this to work for me. I can highlight a recipe from one cookbook. Open up another MasterList and click on the category I want to drag it into. Then I can drag the recipe into the right side pane of the other MasterList. It will bring over the categories it previously had and will put it into the category I dropped it into. Adding categories to a recipe is supported by dragging a recipe from the right-pane of MasterList to the right-pane of another opened MasterList.

A. You can do the same from the cookbook to the MasterList - the trick is expand the outline (or MasterList) until the category you want is open and showing it's recipes in the right panel of the MasterList. Then you can drag and drop a recipe from a book into the category of the other book using the MasterList.

A. We can also do it -- and this is much faster -- from the MasterList to an open cookbook. Drag into the recipe title window.
