According to the 1999-2000 AUC Catalog page 64, "Academic dishonesty
is
NOT acceptable in an institution
dedicated to learning or in any society. Academic dishonesty includes....plagiarism
..receipt of information during an examination, use of unauthorized
materials during an examination, transferal of unauthorized information
...., etc...."
Academic honesty represents a major pillar in engineering ethics, since
engineering holds paramount the safety, health and lives of people. Therefore,
severe punishment will be taken in
any case of academic dishonesty. The following procedures will be taken
in case of any violation either in
the exams, assignments or lab reports:
-
First attempt: warning of the individual,
taking off points depending on the degree of violation
-
Second attempt: getting a zero grade
(F) in the lab report, assignment or exam
-
Third attempt (
RED CODE): reporting the case to the dean of students, filing
an official case which could result in failing the entire course, warning
or dismissal .
To avoid any violation
